Easy-to-make Valentine’s brownie kabobs recipe
Grab your heart-shaped cookie-cutter and save time with a prepared box of brownie mix. Your sweetheart (and your kids) will love this easy treat.
Celebrating Valentine's Day is a lot different than it used to be.
Instead of making fancy dinner reservations, couples may be more likely to cook a nice meal at home. Next to Mother's Day, Valentine's Day is the second busiest restaurant holiday of the year. And forget the gifts — younger couples would often rather give an experience. If you're one of the many considering foregoing the restaurants and the flowers this year, you can still treat your loves with a Valentine's Day dessert that's original, sweet, and easy.
These creatively cut heart-shaped strawberry and marshmallow brownie kebabs are quite the mouthful, in both senses of the word. We suggest gifting them to your family, your partner, your postman, and your coworkers — as long as you leave a little for yourself. As the National Research Federation confirmed in their annual Valentine's Day Spending survey for 2016, the way we show our loved ones we care on this special day has changed. Nowadays, it's the thought that counts: Making a homemade treat (even an easy one) could show more love and attention than buying one.

How to make Valentine’s brownie kabobs: Tutorial
Whether that special someone in your life is a significant other, your kids, or yourself, they’ll appreciate the thought that went into this surprisingly simple (and clearly delicious) Valentine’s Day dessert:
-
Prepare brownies according to package directions or according to your recipe.
Line pan with foil and make sure foil is greased well. Allow brownies to cool completely and remove foil with sheet of brownies from pan.
-
Cut brownie hearts from the cooked sheet of brownies using a heart-shaped cookie cutter.
-
Assemble treats with a heart-shaped brownie at the bottom of the skewer, a strawberry or berry next, and then a marshmallow.
-
Melt chocolate chips in microwave for 30-60 seconds, depending on microwave power. Stir well to ensure chocolate is melted completely. Alternately, use honey to drizzle.
Drizzle kabobs in melted chocolate or honey and cover with red and pink sprinkles.
-
Arrange on a tray for serving. Refrigerate, if necessary.
