Scott A. Almy

Chief Executive Officer

With a career spanning nearly 30 years, Scott considers himself “fortunate” to have the “most incredible life experiences in banking, mortgage, and financial services.” Together with his team, he joined Cornerstone in 2019 to expand its operations in commercial and consumer banking. Says Scott, “We set a course designed to amplify our ability to serve, to reduce funding costs, to diversify our product mix, and to enhance opportunities for our team members. My personal mission is to have fun while we navigate this course, and to build a banking franchise worthy of the Cornerstone culture and mission.”

Prior to joining Cornerstone, he most recently served as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer at Legacy Texas Bank and its publicly traded company, LegacyTexas Financial Group, Inc. Scott holds a J.D. from the Texas Tech University School of Law and a B.B.A. from Texas A&M University. He also completed the Executive Education Program in Advanced Risk Management at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. In 2019, he was recognized by the Risk Management Association with its Special Service Award and has served in a variety of leadership capacities with the American Bankers Association, Risk Management Association, Texas Bankers Association, and Southwest Association of Bank Counsel.

Mary Clouthier

Chief Risk Officer

A recognized leader in risk management and bank compliance, Mary has more than three decades of experience in regulatory supervision, risk management, and auditing. The 2017 recipient of the American Bankers Association Distinguished Service Award began her career as a Safety and Soundness Examiner at the FDIC.

She later specialized in consumer compliance as a Senior Examiner at the Federal Reserve Banks located in both Philadelphia and Dallas. She is known widely for her ability to manage through change and to build and execute effective risk and compliance management systems.

David Fraser

Chief Credit Officer

David graduated from Abilene Christian University with a BBA in Finance. He also graduated from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking and earned his MBA from Southern Methodist University. Additionally, he holds an LLM degree from the School of Law at Washington University in St. Louis. Since launching his career nearly 40 years ago, David has held several leadership roles at banks in Dallas and Fort Worth.

David has been active in serving his industry, including roles as a past president and director of the Texas Chapter of the Risk Management Association, the North Texas Chapter of the Risk Management Association, and the Tarrant County Bankers Association. He currently serves as a board member and officer of the Wesley-Rankin Community Center and as a board member of the North Texas Chapter of the American Red Cross, and has in the past been in leadership roles with a domestic violence shelter, Little League teams, and his church.
